Briana Culberson, daughter of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, Vicki Gunvalson, revealed that one of her children “suffered a terrible accident” via social media on Tuesday.
Briana, a licensed practical nurse, says the accident occurred over Mother’s Day weekend, and the child had to be hospitalized for serious injuries, though she added that they are “doing well and home now.”
“I need to focus all of my love and attention on their healing,” she shared on an Instagram story from The Culberson family’s account @theculbersons. “I’ll pop in here and there but will be lagging on my messages.”
The exact nature of the accident was not mentioned, nor did Briana disclose which of her three children were affected. Although, after some social media sleuthing, it seems that the couple’s youngest son, Hank, 3, suffered a severe fall that led to a concussion.
In a separate video of Hank uploaded on Wednesday, a follower asked if the couple’s youngest son was “doing ok after his fall?”
Briana’s husband, Ryan Culberson, commented from his personal Instagram account and replied, “Under concussion protocol but doing great.”
The couple also share son Troy, 11, and a one-year-old daughter, Cora.
Grandma, Vicki, has not commented on the accident, but did share the flowers and a card she received from Briana and her grandchildren on Mother’s Day on Instagram.
Earlier this year, Briana and Ryan moved the family from Illinois to Oklahoma for a “slower-paced country setting” for the children after “evaluating” what was important in their lives.
‘We’ve had a lot of things happen that have made us evaluate what’s important to us and how we want to raise our kids. It hasn’t always been pretty, but we’ve gotten to such a place of peace with our marriage, and we changed our whole lives for our kids,’ Briana explained via social media back in April.
Briana first appeared in the inaugural season of RHOC but has since left the reality world in favor of a quieter life practicing Holistic medicine, though mom, Vicki, is still “whooping it up” in Orange County.
Vicki is set to make her grand return to The Real Housewives of Orange County for season 17 premiering Wednesday, June 7 at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
