The Colorado football program has been reinvigorated and injected with a new sense of swagger since the arrival of Deion Sanders, and it was on full display for the team’s home opener at Folsom Field.

After stunning the TCU Horned Frogs in Week One and earning an AP Top 25 ranking for the first time since 2020, the Buffaloes were ready to continue the momentum.

It all started with the players showing up in some brand new custom, Coach Prime-approved suits and it carried over to the sideline.

During the game against Nebraska, Colorado unveiled its gold-trimmed “Turnover Throne” with the team’s “iBELIEVE” slogan along the bottom. Players who get turnovers will be celebrated on the fancy sideline seat fit for a king.

In the first half, the Turnover Throne was busy with the Buffaloes’ defense recovering two fumbles from Cornhuskers quarterback Jeff Sims and intercepting one pass.

Coach Prime has definitely found ways to motivate his players since arriving in Boulder, and the Turnover Throne is just the latest incentive to show up and make big plays on the defensive side of the ball.
