This pistachio goat cheese spread is one of the easiest appetizers you’ll ever make! Our Chèvre cheese spread is so elegant to serve, but it couldn’t be simpler.

With just four ingredients and five minutes hands-on time, you’ll have a goat cheese spread that will have everyone talking!

There’s a little wine bar just 10 minutes from the lake cottage that offers an array of amazing appetizers, including this chèvre cheese spread. It’s a warm goat cheese spread covered in crushed pistachios, fig jam and served with crostini.

We love goat cheese and have created so many delicious appetizers with it. Check out this baked goat cheese or our little onion tarts for more!

Why You’ll Love this Recipe

  • This pistachio goat cheese spread comes together in just three minutes hands-on time and 10 minutes in the oven.
  • It can be put together ahead of time, which makes it the perfect appetizer for parties.
  • Chèvre cheese just feels more elegant to serve to guests because it has such a beautiful texture and presentation.

I tend to gravitate toward goat cheese not only for its flavor, but because it is often tolerated by those who avoid some dairy products. This goat cheese spread is also gluten-free!

What is Chèvre Cheese?

Chèvre is French for goat’s cheese. Goat’s milk (and hence, goat cheese) is lower in fat and higher in Vitamin A and potassium than cheese made from cow’s milk. It’s an artisan, flavorful cheese that makes an incredible base for this easy appetizer recipe.

It’s a beautiful addition to a cheese board but also stands alone. The sweet and savory flavors of chèvre cheese paired with salty pistachios and sweet fig jam are out of this world.

You can purchase goat cheese at almost any grocery store. I tend to purchase mine at Trader Joe’s because it’s so inexpensive there.
