My family loves bananas probably more than any other fruit, but sometimes they get ripe before they finish them off. As a result, I make a lot of different recipes using bananas to salvage instead of waste. Here is the best recipe for delectable and healthy banana oatmeal muffins that are tender, moist, cake-like and delicious enough to be cupcakes. Let me show you how to make them for adding to breakfast, snacking or a great dessert.

Why This Is the Best Banana Muffin Recipe

The kicker is that these delicious banana muffins are also healthy muffins. They are full of protein from oatmeal and eggs. You can also add about one-half cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to boost that protein even further. In addition, they have heart-healthy canola oil instead of butter, shortening or margarine that can raise cholesterol due to their saturated fat. Still, they also do not contain salt to help regulate the amount of sodium that you consume.

In addition, you aren’t bogged down with a lot of work for how to make these banana cupcake muffins. You are just mashing the bananas, sifting and then mixing the ingredients before loading your muffin cups. This is one of the easiest oatmeal banana muffins you’ll ever stumble upon.

This recipe produces such tender muffins that can also be turned into cupcakes adding frosting. No joke, they are that good with a delicate moist texture.

Another plus to this recipe is how fresh and moist these muffins stay the next day–that is if you have any left!

The next time that you have overly ripe bananas, I hope that you will want to try my banana oatmeal muffins. Please also share the recipe with your family and friends and do come back to my blog for more.
