Are Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky still together? While the real estate mogul emphatically said in April 2023 they weren’t getting divorced, People reported on July 3 that the two had called it quits. Kyle has since sparked dating rumors with country singer Morgan Wade, while Mauricio has been romantically linked to his Dancing With the Stars partner, Emma Slater.
Are Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky Still Together?
Despite the July 2023 reports, Kyle and Mauricio denied that they were divorcing in a joint Instagram post. “In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue,” the couple’s statement read. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.”
In November 2023, Kyle addressed her and Mauricio’s situation while attending BravoCon. “I’ve been through a lot this year and it does change you,” she admitted. “Losing my best friend to suicide, my divorce, all that has made me stronger. But it definitely changes you as a person.” This was the first time that Kyle had used the word “divorce” to refer to her split from Mauricio.
Amid their estrangement, Kyle and Mauricio have continued to put on a united front for the sake of their family. “I’m grateful that we get along so well and we love each other very much,” Kyle shared. “We’re putting our family first. We’re still living together under the same roof. I’m proud of the way that we’re navigating through this. I just take it a day at a time.”
Just months earlier, Mauricio had shut down split rumors. “We’re not getting divorced. … I mean, it’s so dumb,” the real estate mogul shared while appearing on the “Two Ts In a Pod” podcast in April 2023. “[There’s] that one stupid story that came out there and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives and so now it’s a story line. So there’s definitely some stories out there and Kyle and I address it and we’ll take it from there. It is what it is.”
The high-end real estate agent appeared to be referring to rumors that he cheated with fellow RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley.
While the duo constantly shared sweet Instagram photos together where they’re all cozied up, People reported in July that the two had separated. “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” a source close to the couple told the outlet.
The RHOBH stars got married in 1996, and since their stint on the Bravo show have been faced with a few cheating rumors.
“It used to get me so upset when lies were out there about me. … But this [new] one threw us for a loop,” the Bravo personality told Us Weekly in October 2020. “We posted a picture in Aspen together and somebody wrote in the comments, ‘I’m so glad to see all the rumors aren’t true.’ And [Mauricio] looked at me and he said, ‘What are they talking [about in] this comment?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know. Let’s Google.’ We were like, ‘What?’ And then, like, a week later, people were texting me [and saying], ‘I hope everything’s OK. I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’”
Amid the whispers, Kyle wished the Selling Beverly Hills patriarch a happy Father’s Day in June 2023 and shared how “grateful” she is for their daughters to grow up with an “incredible dad.”
“Leading them with love and instilling in them to be adventurous and live life to the fullest. Always there for them and not knowing how to say ‘no.’ They would definitely agree you get the best Dad award,” she captioned the Instagram post.
In the midst of the split rumors, Kyle sparked dating rumors with Morgan. However, Mauricio reassured fans that he and the reality star are not getting divorced.
“We were dealing with our own things, kind of, super quietly and internally, just our own issues. I mean, certainly, we’re not separated. We’re not divorced at this point. We are not any of that stuff. We’re still dealing with our marriage,” he explained during the September 28 episode of The Agency’s “Red Mic” podcast.
“It’s been an amazing 26 years and it’s been a difficult one year. Kyle and I are blessed, where we actually had 26 years that we did not have a bad year, and I know most marriages have bad months, bad weeks, bad years.”
While speaking to TMZ shortly thereafter, Mauricio confirmed that he and Kyle are still separated as of October, but they are “not talking about divorce.”
“We’ve had 26 amazing years, but we’ve had a really tough year. I think that happens. We’re not ready to throw in the towel yet,” he said. “We’re trying to deal with it, but … it’s really difficult particularly when everyone has an opinion. … I really just ask the public to understand that we really are humans, that we really do have emotions … and we love each other more than anything in the world.”
Is Kyle Richards Dating Morgan Wade?
Kyle and Morgan instantly clicked after embarking on a friendship in February 2022. Later that year, the duo got matching tattoos, leading eagle-eyed fans to question if there was a romantic connection between them.
“Kyle was drawn to Morgan’s lyrics about relationships and other hardships,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in June 2023 amid Kyle’s marriage woes. “They’ve given Kyle a lot of strength to deal with her own problems in her marriage to Mauricio.”
The actress-turned-reality star appeared in Morgan’s music video “Fall in Love With Me” that August and “poked fun” at their dating rumors.
“I’ve done several music videos and every time there’s someone in it with me, they always assume we’re dating or something’s going on. If you get on the internet, you see people who are obsessed with us being friends and why we’re friends,” Morgan said in an Instagram video at the time. “We thought it would be kind of a good idea to poke fun of that and kind of troll the trolls a little bit. The internet’s gonna be popping off about this one.”
Mauricio, for his part, shared his excitement for the collaboration by sharing that the video was “Sooo good,” in the comments section of Morgan’s post.
Kyle and Morgan fueled dating rumors once again in September during a Paris getaway, but the California native explained it was strictly for business.
“Morgan is very talented. We were in Paris shooting the documentary that you guys probably heard about online,” Kyle said during an Amazon Live as she is producing Morgan’s upcoming documentary. “I’m like why do people just make things up about the trip. I mean they see there’s a camera there and they completely ignore that there is a camera there and act like we just – I don’t know what – but I’m like there were cameras there.”
Meanwhile, Mauricio weighed in on the rumors, speaking to TMZ outside his Dancing With the Stars rehearsal and revealing that he has “no doubt” that Kyle “has not slept or cheated with” Morgan.
“They are really great friends, they are filming stuff together,” he said in reference to Kyle’s documentary about Morgan’s life. “They’re doing things together. They are not in a relationship.”
When the season 13 trailer for RHOBH dropped on October 3, Morgan appeared several times and Kyle’s costars were seen questioning what was going on between the two women.
Kyle introduced her new BFF to another pal, who asked how they met. Morgan replied, “She stalked me.” The next clip showed the Hollywood native tattooing the initial “K” on the musician’s arm. Dorit Kemsley then asked her in a concerned voice, “You put the first letter of your name on her body? What is going on Kyle?”
In the following scene, Maurico told his wife in a joking voice, “I’m just glad it’s you out there having an affair,” while Kyle responded more seriously, “For once it’s me.”
The day after the trailer dropped, Kyle was photographed picking Morgan up at L.A.X. in her black Range Rover.
Did Mauricio Umansky Cheat on Kyle Richards With Dorit Kemsley?
Kyle and Mauricio made headlines in August 2022 when former “friend” of the housewives Dana Wilkey resurfaced to allege that Dorit — who has been married to PK Kemsley since March 2015 — was having an affair with her best friend’s husband.
“The fans can’t stop talking about this! Thoughts?” Dana captioned an Instagram post that featured An Affair to Remember movie poster which was photoshopped to include Dorit and Mauricio’s faces.
Dorit, for her part, wasted no time clapping back in the comments section.
“Is something wrong with you woman? Or are you just so miserable in your life you have nothing better to do? You’re definitely one of the thirstiest people I’ve ever seen, I guess it’s just as simple as that?” the Beverly Beach founder wrote. “Kyle and Mau are our friends and my kids call them uncle and auntie. Do you think this is OK for my kids to see when it’s a disgusting lie? If this is the only way you can make a buck then so be it but at least have some decency and stop trying to peddle false narratives especially when you know there is ZERO truth behind it and your whole motive is to just hurt people for no reason. It’s sad, pathetic and bound to bite you in the ass inevitably.”
Dana shared the comment to her Instagram Story, claiming, “People don’t read posts apparently … however, that said, obviously struck a nerve.”
Kyle and Mauricio did not publicly respond to the claims.
Is Mauricio Umansky Dating Emma Slater?
Meanwhile, Mauricio sparked romance rumors with another woman in the fall of 2023. He was partnered with Emma on the 32nd season of Dancing With the Stars and they were photographed holding hands while leaving a restaurant. Although they denied that they were dating, their chemistry both on and off the dance floor was very noticeable.
Even after Mauricio and Emma were eliminated from the competition on October 31, 2023, they continued to spend time together away from the ballroom. On November 3, they were photographed arriving at the Line Hotel in Los Angeles together.
Kyle admitted that it was “hard” for her to see the PDA photos of Mauricio and Emma together. She also deleted an Instagram post in support of her estranged husband’s time on DWTS amid the dating rumors.
