CWT is offering global clients access to Air France-KLM New Distribution Capability content via Amadeus’ Cytric booking and expense tool, the travel management company announced.
The availability expands on a pilot CWT launched last year, in which agents began offering Air France-KLM NDC bookings to select customers through the Amadeus Travel Platform. Enabling travelers to access the content, which includes continuous pricing offers and personalized offers bundling in ancillaries, through an online booking tool “is a major step forward in our ambition to create an omnichannel experience for our customers,” according to CWT VP of product management Erik Magnuson.
A surcharge on Air France-KLM global distribution system bookings is looming for TMCs at the end of this year, a deadline pushed back from March 31 earlier this year as the group is working on what it called a “smooth transition to NDC” for TMCs. American Express Global Business Travel in April announced a “phased approach” to making Air France-KLM NDC content available in its Neo booking platform and Egencia via an Amadeus NDC-X connection. The group also has made NDC content available to TMCs through Travelport Plus and several aggregators.
Amadeus last week announced it had signed with Air France-KLM for the airline group to offer the Cytric portfolio to its direct corporate customers. As a part of that, Air France-KLM is incorporating Amadeus technology into its BlueConnect online corporate tool.
